Brought back from the pasture is this 1948 Fleetline that has seen many configurations. First chassis swapped with 1986 El Camino along with the SBC 305 and TH200-4R then added all the air ride components. Next the transmission was swapped to TH350. Some time later the engine was upgraded to a 5.3L Vortec. Once tired of the lack of overdrive, a 4L80E was subbed in. After liberating a Eaton M122 from a mustang GT500 and purchasing a secondhand Tim Demeuse adapter/cooler it was all stacked up and surprisingly cleared the hood.

Other upgrades along the way include a rear drum to disc conversion using 2000 Camaro rear components. Front single to dual piston swap with 2000 Blazer parts. Front and Rear seats from a 2012 Traverse. Fuel cell in the rear with a walbro 450lph pumping strictly e85. HVAC utilizing the cheapest evap box and electric AC compressor (just to see how well they work and no compliants yet) off of Amazon. Column shift to a horseshoe shifter then finally a Art-Carr shifter.

All that and its still on the stock El Camino 7.5" 10 bolt rear axle with 2.41 gears and an open diff, so that will be the next to go in this long line of parts updates.
